We are proud to be situated where the foothills of the Burren meet the wild atlantic waters of Galway Bay. We are situated on Grade A waters, by New Quay Pier, halfway between the picturesque towns of Kinvara and Ballyvaughan. 45 minutes to Galway City and 45 minutes to the Cliffs of Moher. We have the Burren region, on one side of us and the south shore of Galway Bay on the other. It is our unique location that provides the tasting notes or unique “merroir” to our oysters.
We feel incredibly lucky to be in the location we are and therefore wish to protect it as much as possible and therefore the sustainability of the local oyster and shellfish industry.
For this reason, we are proud to be members of the Burren Ecotourism Network, www.burrenecotourismnetwork.com , Cuan Beo www.cuanbeo.com , Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark www.burrengeopark.ie and also support the work of Leave No Trace Ireland www.leavenotraceireland.org
These organisations facilitate the opportunities for our local communities to come and work together in promoting sustainable tourism, sustainable businesses while putting our local environment at the centre.
